There’s nothing quite as emotional as a surprise proposal, and this unforgettable moment unfolded at the breathtaking Diamond Bay on the stunning Mornington Peninsula.
Alex contacted me to organise a surprise proposal photography session in Sorrento for his beautiful partner, Nina. From the very beginning, we carefully planned every detail — especially the timing. Alex had arranged to take Nina out for dinner at a beautiful restaurant afterwards, so we coordinated the proposal to flow perfectly into an unforgettable evening of celebrations with family and friends.
Diamond Bay was the ideal choice. With its striking red rock cliffs, soft golden sand and sparkling blue waters, it offers one of the most spectacular coastal backdrops on the Mornington Peninsula. The natural beauty of the rugged shoreline created the perfect romantic setting.
Walking onto the beach, Nina had no idea what was about to happen. Then came the moment — Alex got down on one knee. The look on Nina’s face was pure shock, quickly followed by overwhelming joy. There were so many happy tears as she said yes! It was such an emotional and genuine moment, the kind every couple dreams of.
Alex had gone above and beyond with the ring — a breathtaking custom-made design featuring six carats of diamonds. Even more special, their initials were engraved on the inner band, a private detail symbolising their love story.
As a proposal photographer who travels to the Mornington Peninsula, I absolutely love capturing these once-in-a-lifetime memories. I felt so honoured to be part of such an incredibly happy occasion and to document every joyful tear, smile and hug for Alex and Nina.
