A Sweet Twin Newborn Session for Jasneet’s Family — Welcoming a Baby Boy & Girl

Some sessions stay with you forever, and Jasneet’s newborn photoshoot is one I’ll always remember. Her beautiful family visited our Lilydale studio after welcoming boy–girl twins, born eight weeks early and photographed on what would have been their due date. At just eight weeks old, these precious little ones were calm, sleepy, and absolutely perfect for their first portraits.

Jasneet travelled from Cranbourne with her husband, their daughter, and her husband’s parents and sister, making it a true multigenerational celebration. One of the things I love most about running a studio in Lilydale is how easily families from Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs can make the trip. Whether you're coming from Cranbourne, Clyde, Berwick, Narre Warren, Pakenham, or Dandenong, the drive is simple—and so many families tell me it’s more than worth it for a calm, warm, personalised newborn experience.

We began the session with a colour palette that felt beautifully traditional: soft pinks for the baby girl and gentle blues for her brother. The twins looked absolutely adorable in their petite outfits, and we captured a mix of individual portraits along with the ever-important images of them snuggled together. There is something so special about photographing twins—watching the natural connection they share, even at this tiny age, is truly heart-melting.

One of my favourite images of the day featured their big sister, beaming with pride as she lay on a rug and held both babies under each arm. It’s a portrait that perfectly captures the joy of becoming a big sister to not one, but two newborns—and I know it will be a treasured memory for their family.

We rounded out the session with a series of extended family portraits. It was beautiful to see everyone together, celebrating these newest additions. These multi-generational photos are often some of the most meaningful, especially for families welcoming twins—double the love, double the memories.
