Adrian originally contacted me to purchase a family photography voucher as a Christmas gift for his partner, Emily. What Emily didn’t know was that Adrian and I had already been secretly planning something even more special — a surprise proposal during their family session, with their two gorgeous daughters, Azaria and Elena, right there to witness it.

The Redwood Forest in Warburton is an absolutely stunning location for both family photography and proposals. Towering Californian redwoods create a peaceful, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. The soft, filtered light through the trees adds a romantic glow, making it one of the most unique and picturesque photography locations in Victoria.

As we began their relaxed family session among the trees, Emily had no idea what was about to unfold. Then, in the middle of the forest, Adrian got down on one knee. The look of pure shock and overwhelming joy on Emily’s face was priceless. Happy tears flowed (from me!), and within seconds, Azaria rushed in for the sweetest family hugs.

Azaria was completely fascinated by Mummy’s beautiful new ring and immediately wanted to wear it herself! Even the ring box became a source of entertainment for the girls, adding extra laughter and candid moments to the session.

I absolutely loved being part of the planning process and felt so honoured to capture these once-in-a-lifetime memories for their family. A proposal surrounded by towering trees, heartfelt emotion and your children by your side — it doesn’t get more meaningful than that.
